Course Description: This course aims to equip the non-midwifery trained novice nurses who are working in the obstetric settings (including in- and out-patient) and Delivery Suite with the knowledge and skills in providing safe and holistic nursing care to obstetric patients and newborns. Knowledge of reproductive health, abnormalities of pregnancy, safe motherhood and the newborn period are essential for the planning and implementation of care during antenatal, postnatal and neonatal periods.
