Singapore is increasing its capacity to support more palliative care patients in inpatient settings, day care centres and at home. While the role and benefits of a multidisciplinary approach in patient care is well established, the role and contribution of physiotherapy and occupational therapy in supporting palliative care patients at home in Singapore is not well understood. This presentation highlights the ways in which both disciplines address the challenges faced by palliative care patients and their caregivers at home and also focuses on how both disciplines uniquely address and enhance patients’ overall quality of life along their disease trajectory.
